instrument_customer_mismatch

HTTP 422, type invalid_request_error.

That payment instrument is saved against a different customer.

Why it happened​

A subscription bills the instrument its own customer saved, and this instrument belongs to another customer.

How to fix it​

Use an instrument saved for this subscription's customer.

Retrying: retry only after fixing the instrument, to one saved against this customer. This refusal happens while the request is processed, after its Idempotency-Key is claimed, so send the corrected request with a new Idempotency-Key.
